This year (2018) will see the first of pupils sit the new GCSE (9-1) for Science,
Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
All pupils will sit 6 papers as part of their Science exams in May and June. There
are 2 papers each for Biology, Chemistry and Physics. The papers for Trilogy (Combined)
Science are all out of 70 marks. The papers for the Separate (Triple) Sciences are
all out of 100 marks. The grade awarded to Trilogy pupils will consist of two numbers
(e.g. 8-7 or 7-7 or 7-6). Each Separate Science will have one number grade respectively
(e.g. Biology 7, Chemistry 7, Physics 8). All papers will have a Higher level version
and a Foundation level version. Pupils should confirm with their teacher which level
they have been put forward to sit.
Each paper will have a prescribed list of topics. To find out whichtopics will be
