All pupils in England have to study the three science up until Year 11. We offer
two possible ways for pupils to do this at Kings’. Pupils can either study science
in 4 lessons each week which is the Trilogy (Combined) GCSE Science or in 6 lessons
each week which is the Separate (Triple) GCSE in each of Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

Or click on Exam Help from the top menu.
If you are making a decision as to whether to choose Triple Science as an option
in Year 9 going into 10 then you should remember primarily that sticking with Combined
Science will NOT be a barrier to doing any of the three sciences at A-Level. However,if
you want to go into science at a greater depth because you are not only interested
in it but are keen to work hard then choosing Triple Science is highly recommended.
You will get 50% more time each week to study it but there isn’t 50% more content
to fill the time. Please do NOT choose Triple Science because your friend wants you
to or because you are at a loss what else to pick. Triple Science demands maximum
effort and engagement!
